This rom...how to say... is very functional for this type of phone, you want to be able to use it for what it was designed for. If you want battery life, then you might want to dig up a sanyo clamshell phone. It's the nature of the beast, a big screen is gonna take some juice. I personally will trade some speed and functionality for battery life. Besides, I've got IGO chargers! Igo at home, Igo in the car, Igo's at work, and Igo-AA in my coat pocket. I'm not worried about battery life at all!

OMJ, before you get rid of rotation completely, try this fix: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.p...postcount=1097. I found it on the Touch Pro forum and it seems to be working for now! It changes your volume icon and I'm not completely sure why it would work but it's working so far and has worked for a lot of TP people. I'll update if it stops working.

So, thank you very much.

Now for my question.
I've seen the extra manilla tabs for calendar in both other roms and cabs but I haven't seen any of them that are anything other than just a way to see the date. Meaning none of them keep or have any indication of appointments that are scheduled in the calendar on the home screen. Is there any way of merging the two so that when you would go to the calendar tab in manilla you would see the month view of your regular calendar? It seems kind of redundand and pointless if you can't put any appointments on it...

well I'm no manila expert, I just use the tools put out there.....I'm sure it could be done, but really dont know for sure.

Do the fixes allow you to share the internet connection with out using the phone as a modum? If so that would be an awsome feature... But I would also then assume that you would still need to watch your bandwith so as to not go over the 5gb... and cause sprint to wonder?

yes, it allows ICS to be used w/o PAM. I dont use it much, but yes, I would stay under the 5gb, as the fix does not make you invisable.

I cooked a rom last night, but I got an issue w/ the battery meter....I'm switching back to 10%, because of the bug w/ the 1%.....soon, 2-3 days maybe sooner.

I had this regedit to disable rotation, but opera is still rotating, I think opera may have it's own setting.

as far as your phone not ringing, you could try to shorten the SCI, go into ##778#, modem settings....default SCI is 2, changing to 1 or 0 will cuz it to poll the cell tower more often.

the other rom may use the rapid charge dll, I dont include it. i'm not sure what would cause faster batery drain, it could be from regedits for performance.

OK, I had time to update, but only one rom right now....

-Removed 1% Battery
-Removed AEBPlus
-Removed Gyrator
-Updated WeatherDataBase (thx ConFlipper)
-Updated Social networking (both work now)
-Updated QuickMenu to 2.8
-Updated AudioBooster
-Disabled Autorotate
-Added Transparent clock w/ white digits

Opera still autorotates, but I can not get it to crash, I also tested mail/text, went from portrait to landscape & could not get it to crash. I have long press send key set to rotate.

What's wrong with the 1% battery? I've never had a problem with it other than it going through the 90s pretty quick? I think i'm gonna stick with the original 2.00 for now because I like rotate and gyrator as well as the 1% battery. Also, regarding my phone not ringing, I've already changed my SCI to 1 and while when it does ring, it's quicker now, I'm still missing calls. Just hope it's software and not hardware!

Definitely in when you get the stock icon rom updated For some reason I like having my diamond look as stock as possible, kinda like having a sleeper race car. Looks stock on the outside but is a monster under the hood

edit: I just flashed it, and this is like night and day. It works amazing so far!

I tried this fix on my Touch Diamond and so far it's working with both text messages and Opera. I'll keep on messing with it and report back if I start having the annoying little problem where screen rotate closes out my window and brings up the dialer.

I did notice that my sound icon has changed and while it doesn't look as good as the one that was on OMJ's rom, it still looks better than the stock icon did.

Yup, I got the same thing. I'll trade that icon for the screen no flipping out! Now only if I could figure out why my phone randomly misses calls I'd be in great shape. For now it looks like I may need to do a insurance exchange!
