Re: [ 10-22 ][ v4.1 ][ 6.5.1 / 6.5 / 6.1 ] Calkulin's Visual HTC Kitchen & ROMs
And yeah, I was really hoping for the 21870 Sys, the Leo apps updates, and the data fixed dialer to play with for my next release.
I've been trying to get the Appointment Editor and HTC Birthday apps to work, along with the Message enhancements, but no joy so far.

If you use Manila 2.1 then stick with Tachi, but personally I hate it because it seems buggy about answering the phone and sometimes it will open data and just transmit in the background hurting battery life.

IMO the tachi dialer should be abandoned, it was a good first attempt, but is far too buggy. The only downside of the Rhodium dialer right now is the limited skinning options and the fact it is really meant for GSM as it has the video call feature which we CDMA users do not. It also includes call conferencing right in the dialer which is pretty cool if you carrier supports it. edit: I think calk also made another version as he posted a CDMA version of the Rhodium dialer at XDA so it will probably be in his next kitchen. (seems to look the same as the tachi dialer with call history and back button instead of conference and video call, but most likely based a Rhodium dialer (who knows which one)). Gonna go try it out now, but it looks great, thanks again calk!!!! http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...postcount=2203 Last edited by omnicronx; 10-29-2009 at 12:42 PM. |

I've got the Sprint TP2 ROM dumped to my PC. Once Calk releases the version with data fixed, I'll be comparing the 2 to see what needs to be done to port it to VGA so we don't have to worry about the unneeded gsm portions. |

As I wrote in my edit, looks like Calk has already has done something similar.
"For CDMA users, you can try using this Rhodium dialer. It doesn't have the data disconnect issue the GSM version causes and it doesn't have the buttons for video & conference since they are useless for us. Thank amarullz tho, it uses his phcanvga.exe to resize. Cab & EXT packages are attached. Cab is for the blue one pictured but there are green, blue & grey packages included" |

I saw your edit right as I posted. Well, at least now all I have to do is figure out how to skin it... |

Nice I really liked the black/blue dialer skin for tachi, the white cramps my black themed style!
