Calcu, wow the latest build 23412 is starting to come together very nicely. I was stuck on 23107 for a while but this one looks promising. Gonna give it a good test. Thanks again.

tried the 23412 ROM, it seems to freeze in the boot screen. The one that shows Touch Pro along with the radio version.

edit: oops posted on the wrong thread. I meant to post on the htc pro upgrades thread..

No, Calkulin built a rom 23412 for the touch pro and it is having problems booting. I just posted on the wrong forum.

Its called Manila 2.5 and its not stable, and has not been succesfully ported to VGA either (its native WVGA). You can track the porting process on XDA : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=540520

You can try it out if you want, though no work has been done on it in a while and it can't be used as a day to day ROM, nor has it been fully ported to VGA

http://www.everythingdiamond.info/showthread.php?t=381

Didnt realize this is the Touch2, looks to be manila 2.5 though, though its missing the quicklaunch buttons on the home screen (which I think would be foolish to leave out IMO)

Re: [ 9-16 ][ v3 ][ 6.5.1 / 6.5 / 6.1 ] Calkulin's Visual HTC Kitchen & ROMs

Does anyone know why these ROMs with the visual kitchen don't include a character counter on any of the SMS screens? I feel bad sending people multiple texts because I have no idea how long my messages are. Is it just the way the newer OS versions are, or am I missing an option somewhere in the kitchen? The last one I tried that had the counters was 23009 in the legacy kitchen. So far with the visual kitchen, 23017, 23047, and 23412 all are missing it.

The 3 row SMS tweaks I have in there deletes the counter, so if you need to have it, don't check it in the kitchen

Re: [ 9-16 ][ v3 ][ 6.5.1 / 6.5 / 6.1 ] Calkulin's Visual HTC Kitchen & ROMs

well this has been my first venture with the visual kitchen, and it's confusing i got it all figured out, i think. Except i have no idea what the top check boxes do so i left them all alone. anyway, I clicked to have transcriber on my phone but it doesn't show up under SIP options. is there a cab to install it, or does it not work on 23017 or what?

Thanks for your continued support of this community

I've been flashing roms for a year or so now but haven't tried building anything / kitchen. What would be the process or where is some good info on the process of building a standard rom with the latest sys.
