^well see i hardreset my phone after i flashed it.since i switched roms from mike to calk..i always do...shoul di do it again?

say its sleeping..and i press the "end call" button..it turns on the screen..the white box is white..then 1 second later it unlocks...

that is the lightsensor getting the necessary amount of light it needs to unlock the phone. if you don't want that feature, you can turn it off by pressing on batt/clock (black box) in the top right and then change the settings (lower left icon in the popup)

might wanna try flashing an OEM shipped ROM, and then flash the calc cooked rom.

I've been flashing cooked roms for a while now, but last night I decided to mess around with the kitchen and cook my own. Whenever I try to build a custom rom, I get a duplicate file error. As per the instructions, I've run a search for the file, but it only comes up with one copy, so I'm not sure what I'm supposed to be deleting to make the builder finish. I tried doing a search on this thread, but I didn't come up with anything.
I'm sure it's a really simple answer, and I'm going to feel stupid, but what am I doing wrong?

Are you adding any of your own OEMs to the kitchen? That is where I usually get duplicates, because Calcu usually gets all of the others out. Check your OEMs, if you still can's see them, turn off "hide protected system files" in your folder view to see if that helps.

Nevermind - I got it. Like I said, it was something stupid. I was choosing both a Manila Portrait and Manila HD selection...
