TV-Out project for GSM and CDMA Diamonds? - Page 6

has anyone just tried porting the software straight from the pro turning it into a cab and trying to install on diamond stock rom and also has anyone tried it on any roms with the real cable and not a home made the fact that your cutting a wire could make a big diff in this because sometimes they do alot more then people think and by cutting it you might be holding something up and last the pro connector for the headphones usb thing might be diff from the diamond just brainstorming some things but yes i would love for this to work

has all the information you want to know on this, including pin layouts, etc. 25 pages though..... seems like there arent many devs willing to try this stuff out with a cable. Instead of money, maybe we can get a dev willing to spend time on this a real cable (not sure if they are readily available right now though)

I checked the Touch Pro ROM and found the "OEM_Misc.dll" is the key component for the TV out. Please look at the below RGU:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\BuiltIn\TVOUT]
"Dll"="OEM_Misc.Dll"
"Prefix"="TVO"
"Index"=dword:1
"Order"=dword:2
"IClass"="{A32942B7-920C-486b-B0E6-92A702A99B35}"

I don't have this cable, but you could try to add the adove rgu or replace the OEM_MISC.dll with Touch Pro's.

not trying to be negative here as I would like tv-out as much as the rest of us. But....

most of this has been tried over at XDA (I still say try it if you want to though, as you may do something different/better)

is the main thread. page 11/12 talks about the same registy keys as mentioned about, and then onward talks about swapping out that dll with the touch pro's, with some bad results.....

anyhow I would say give it a read before trying at least.

Yeah unforunatly i agree if this would have been possible im pretty sure someone would have figured it out by now. The only downside to having a diamond instead of pro imo.
