Yes I do have the roaming trialngle. that is because of some setting on sprint that is not right with alltel. but once alltel provides an official ship rom for this phone that will go away.

To update to prl just check out this link. it also has PRL file downloads.

conflipper, what is the difference between the "stock alltel rom" on the http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=36062 thread and the "shipped rom" you mentioned? man, I really appreciate your help. Thanks again.

ship rom will have a radio update. and alltel network setting. so It will be more official

Try to do a *228 send and update the prl.

that will only work if you have changed the msl to all 0's and does not get rid of the roaming triangle

OK I am having issues. I unlocked my phone and put conflippers rom on it. I don't know how to change my msl and prl stuff. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Oh, I tried to call alltel and get them to activate it on the phone but it wouldn't work and the tech guy said I can't use a sprint phone on alltel. I am stressed.

Did you read this entire thread? I tried to save you some time by adding my experiences.

Thanks for the heads up. Just to let everyone know I did finally get it up and running. "Tommy" was right for me, Thanks Tommy! I could not get GetSPC to work for me either. I downloaded and installed on the phone Resco File explorer demo and used this to change the registry (very easy). By the way I flashed to Alltel's rom first which was my problem. Do not flash first! Unlock(change) the MSL first to 000000 (change it using QPST like previously stated). After you verify that it worked, flash. When I called to change the phone's over I stated that it was an Touch instead of the diamond, the steps are the same. After giving the MEID HEX number to them you will need to go in to the Service screen ##000000(Send). This is where they will ask you to put in (select and edit) your phone number into the MDN and MSID. The Home SID will also need to be edited (they will give you this value). =D>

Thanks. So what do I need to do since I installed conflippers rom before I changed the msl? Do I need to put a sprint ROM back on the phone or what? You guys are awesome. Thank you for the help.

I meant to ask earlier what is an esn swap? Like you took the ESN from your old phone and changed this phone to have that ESN?
