Re: [Jan 15th New Sprint Radio V1.11.00F] Official CDMA Diamond Radio Thread

just tried the new radio v1.11.00F
here my review after 8 hrs lol!!!
i been getting late txt msg all day.
Some are an hr late and some are like b/w 15-30min late.
GPS works fine like the rest of it.
Battery seem not that good 40% right now after 12hr used.
Signals been ok not much change from other radio.
i'm going bak to verizon radio tho. i think that the best for my area.

Re: [Jan 15th New Sprint Radio V1.11.00F] Official CDMA Diamond Radio Thread

I updated to the new sprint radio and so far so good.

My GPS is finally working consistently!!! It's been an issue since day 1 with my Diamond and this looks to have fixed it. Will report back in a few days.

Signal strength seems better as well.

don't do anything unless your read this thread and understand flashing radio roms as well as regular roms. Become comfortable with the process so you dont have any major issues with your phone. Flashing a radio rom is the same as flashing a custom rom so you need to know the steps.

My GPS seems to be cold starting much faster. 5-7 seconds in various place that usually take around 15. Could be the satellites but it's never been this fast before.

Re: [Jan 15th New Sprint Radio V1.11.00F] Official CDMA Diamond Radio Thread

After using the new Sprint radio all day today, I can comfortably say that it isn't anywhere near as good as the Telus radio I was using. I've been dropping calls, receiving calls on the last ring before it redirects to VM (or missing them when they redirect before I can pick up) and generally getting very poor battery life (I'm sure this last one is because I'm only registering 0-2 bars in places I usually get 3 or more; It seems like I'm getting 2 less signal bars indicated across the board.)
Back to Telus... on my Sprint phone.

I would have to agree. The signal has not been very steady. Keeps dropping down to nothing very often and than to 2 bars in places where it should be stronger. Weird behavior on phone calls. Had to call my house 4 times just to get it to connect = that's never happened before. Phone definitely got really warm again just like with the original Sprint radio and down to 60% battery life, with normal use - it would typically still be at 80% at least.
I am flashing back to Verizon for now. Was on Telus before, but am not sure it's very good in my area. Would love to see the 1.07.01 Telus Radio, but nobody has it except for Juicy and some other lucky people.
Will go back to Verizon for now.

I have full bars all time so i dont know bout signal. Data seems to be little faster then previous sprint radio. Battery life looks to be about the same.
