Re: [DEC 5th New Telus Radio V1.04.05V] Official CDMA Diamond Radio Thread
Been using the Telus radio for a few days. Not a big difference for me between the Verizon Touch Pro and this.
Don't know if it's the radio or not, but when I was streaming several Youtube vids with a friend, the phone didn't get that hot as it used to. Then again, it was slightly cold outside when we did it. Last edited by gamer007; 12-08-2008 at 03:56 AM. |

I must say the 1.03.15F radio has reduced the battery life on my diamond tremendously.
1.00.00F (stock) was way better, trying the Telus V1.04.05V Radio now .. |

I was on the original Telus Radio 0.99. or w/e it was, anyways so far my findings are that it got warmer a bit quicker while using the web browsers,
but didnt not get hot. Also It could possibly be from the overcast skies above me currently.. but im pretty sure I lost a bar or two, im sitting on one now and i was on three earlier prior to flashing the new Telus radio. other than that GPS works fine, kinda kept losing GPS Sat's though which normaly didnt happen witht he old radio but ill keep playing with it. |

Re: [DEC 5th New Telus Radio V1.04.05V] Official CDMA Diamond Radio Thread
This may be a stupid question so please dont flame me. I upgrade my roms by flashing from the internal storage. Is it possible to do the same thing with radios, or is it not worth chancing it? Thanks.

Yep, you can flash from the internal storage. Just did my first radio upgrade to the Telus radio due to the positive feedback. From sprint OEM to the telus just a quick bar check @ work, on the sprint radio i'd generally hold @ 2 bars and flutuate down to 1 every now and then. With the telus on watching it for the last few minutes I have stayed at 3 pretty solidly, with only a small flutuation between 2 and 4.

Is it required that we upgrade the Radio (as i am afraid to) to get the full effect of the new roms coming out

not that i'm aware of, but there's really nothing to be afraid of, they are thoroughly tested

When I upgraded my Telus Radio Rom froms tock to the new 1.04.05, it clearly said on the boot screen that it was a RADIO that it detected so no worries about flashing either or files. P.s. the new Telus radio to me still seems about equal on performance with the stock one :S nothing really noticeable. |
