Re: [Jan 15th New Sprint Radio V1.11.00F] Official CDMA Diamond Radio Thread

okay noobie here just received my sprint diamond! I'm on the sprint stock rom with 1.00.00F radio rom. From the consensus i want to use the telus radio rom. Can I update to the telus radio rom? if yes is there anything additional i have to do (ie: run sprint carrier cabs, prl update cabs)?

Re: [Jan 15th New Sprint Radio V1.11.00F] Official CDMA Diamond Radio Thread

hey guys i think some of the radio links are down...unless its just my internet acting funny....

also what is the odds of the sprint radio v.11f having problems with 1x and evdo on a diamond? I have been having incoming calls issues were there just not comming in. I switched to the verizon one, not saying that fixed the problem. As of right now the verizon radio is working well, but further testing still needs to be done to see if this is the issue.

congrats on the new phone. Yes you can update your radio by flashing a radio rom. To do this, you will need to unlock your phone properly. this thread talks about this.

http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=36062

Once your phone is unlocked, you can flash the radio of your choice. They are all packaged already to flash so you dont need to do anyting other than extract the rar to a file on your desktop, and flash by selecting the ROMUpdateUtility.exe while connected to active sync. Make sure you read the instructions before you do this. Also, the Telus radio 1.04.05v, the new sprint radio 1.11.00f and the sprint radio 1.03.15f are packaged to not hard reset your phone post flash. meaning if you flash these radios, your phone will not hard reset afterwards so all of your customizations are saved. The others will hard reset your phone. One other thing, the flashing process is fast with a radio but there is a long wait between 99% and 100%. dont be alarmed it will eventually go to 100 and will let you know when it's complete shortly thereafter.

**just make sure to read up and follow the instructions in the thread above. Its easy but can screw up your phone if you dont follow the instructions exactly. Good luck.

Re: [Jan 15th New Sprint Radio V1.11.00F] Official CDMA Diamond Radio Thread

Just a heads up for anyone in the Albuquerque, NM (ABQ) / Santa Fe area: if you've been having data speed problems, just update to the new 1.11.00F radio. I have not experienced any of the dropped calls, missed texts, or heating problems reported by others in other markets.

In THIS market only, I recommend this radio, as I have tried a VARIETY of others with no success at all. It's ROM independent to just try it with your favorite ROM or stock ROM. Very stable in THIS market as we have a noted problem with low EVDO Rev. A speeds. It's a good time, I recommend it to all in our market only. Enjoy, let me know if you have any problems at all.

no, this radio thread is for the Diamond. but there is a radio thread in the tp upgrade forum. it's not a sticky but you should be able tp find it on the first or second page. this radio packaged for the tp is in there.

Re: [Jan 15th New Sprint Radio V1.11.00F] Official CDMA Diamond Radio Thread

you should not be getting invalid id error if you have a cdma diamond? If you have a gsm one, you will brick your phone flashing this radio. so be careful. so if you have a sprint diamond, have unlocked your phone properly, there is no reason it wont work.
