Re: Victor WM6.1 Build 20755 kitchen

Ok... now I am really confused...

Last night I used the kitchen, flashed and when I tired to do it again the RUU gave me ERROR [2008]:FILE OPEN.

No matter how many times I restarted the computer, I would keep on getting the error, even I cooked a new kitchen.

Now on a computer at work, after flashing once, the second time I am getting the same error... can you help?

Thanks!

Brought to you by PPCKitchen.org. Donations keep 'em coming, so tip if you are able.

You MUST USE UPDATER to get 20755 core and the selections template.
Most archived/older kitchens are not compatible with this BuildOS.

Other build files are available for manual download.

If you haven't already installed BuildOS: BuildOS Installer
Installation Instructions

Victor kitchen is available from the Updater or manual downloads.

Bugs:
none known

If you are having issues changing the themes, please check the following registry entry:

Code:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Policies\Policies]
"1007"=dword:00000028

-> ERROR [208] : FILE OPEN
-> ERROR [210] : FILE READ
These error messages indicate that RUU lacks certain important files and cannot continue with the update. Please get the complete RUU package again.

Re: Victor WM6.1 Build 20755 kitchen

I had the same issue. I wonder if I screwed things up and deleted all the files in the folder containing the build. It worked upon it's next build...but then the phone was cooked up with a rom that just acts very screwy. Like contacts not working, volume up and down buttons only functioning to scroll up and down such that it never accesses volume adjustment...
I'm going to try cooking with other selections to see if it was just some bad choices...

How did you make it work again? Did you reinstall everything?

Re: Victor WM6.1 Build 20755 kitchen

although after this second pass if it is quirky then i will reinstall everything as the guru has mentioned that my buildos was giving me a selections opening error that it shouldn't have been giving.
