Quick question which I guess is related to all flashes...if you restore using SPB Backup, using all the default selections (overwrite files, registry restore, etc.) will I lose the reg edits and such that, say, Ivan made for his ROM? Basically wouldn't that take away the whole point of fixing minor issues with ROMs since when you do a restore you will be restoring the previous registry/settings?

Did you install any other software at all???

I have an email from bank of america and in the email i have the link www.bankofamerica.com when i click on it it opens in opera browser.

let me know if you installed anything else and that way i can see what may cause the issue.

Mdigger
diamond tweak
skyfire
cleartemp
java vga
tcmp
sprint tv and navigation

this happened to me a couple times on the stock rom as well. I agree it must be something I am doing potentially in diamond tweak. I increased the ie connections to 8, not sure if this does anything but it was advised.

Well the way i understand it is that if you do ROM upgrade and you go into " "Customize Restore" then select "system data" and click on "options" once in there uncheck "restore registry" it should not change the current ROM registry.

IS just the way I understand it works.

That makes sense. The only thing that worries me about going that route is that any programs it restores wouldn't function correctly since they won't have any registry values, right?

Either way I can live with it. I just wanted to give Spb Backup a shot...but I don't really mind reinstalling all my own programs, I have the CABs of all of them waiting on the internal memory so it doesn't take too long.

I guess I can continue using Spb for settings restore though.

Anyway, I did the full restore after flashing to 1.4...think I'm just going to reflash, my free memory is back down to 29MB haha, think with a fresh 1.4 flash it was at around 70MB.

OK my man Skyfire is your problem!!!

See as far as i know skyfire is only a QVGA application meaning that skyfire does not work with VGA devices like the Diamond. Once you install it it makes IE the default browser and ignores Opera.

Now you can do registry tweaks to fix it or just do a hard reset and install your applications again either way works.. (I normally do the hard reset just because i want to make sure everything is working the way i intent for it to work)

I leave that up to you..

Am I the only one who thinks the Vistahide battery gauge is just awesome? I know it's a minor thing and no big deal to install myself but after I got the colors changed from the rainbow ones in indagroove's ROM I fell in love.

sounds like a plan. i may just live with it for now. skyfire does work pretty well especially viewing flash oriented sites so I guess opera can be secondary for now but I may hard reset in a day or two. thanks

Thank you for the rom but opera is still crashing. I have not installed any programs yet. Am I the only one who has this problem.
