Re: * UPDATED * [10/12/2008] JUICY ROM 2.5 [Full CE OS 5.2.20755][TELUS][Sprint]

A happy thanksgiving to my fellow Canucks!

I've been keeping up with Juicy's ROMs ever since day 1, but pretty much been lurking in the shadows... So I just (finally) want to say THANK YOU for all of the effort put into these ROMS!! They are fantastic and I know you do it all on your free time, so Kudos to ya.

I do have one thing to report though:

when I went back home for thanksgiving to a more rural area (Barrie, for you Ontarians) I noticed that i had MUCH worse reception than in Toronto, an urban area(..duh) However, I left my phone on in Barrie, standby with no apps open, woke up after 7ish hours, and it was quite dead. I leave it on in T.O. where there's a strong signal, and it can last maybe 36ish hours on the same charge.

Now i believe this has been said before, but i think my battery was killed because my phone was constantly looking for a signal, and constantly jumping from EVDO to 1X, in a weak signal area.

Bottom line is, People in rural areas, if you're having a battery problem with 2.5, is not because of Juicy's ROM.

So, I'm thinking that perhaps an upgraded radio would help?

...Oh and as someone who has read every post in the original thread, this one, and the XDA one, I have a few comments:

1- Don't ask questions that have already been asked 15 times before!!!
SERIOUSLY!!! i dont like reading "where did the task manager go?" or "where can I get the sprint TF3D files", or "is this safe to flash? im scared " 100 times.
Do a search for god's sake.

2- Sprint guys... I know it's not all of you, but come on. Maybe its just 'cause I'm Canadian and am used to good manners, but you guys are coming off as very impatient, and sometimes rude. Juicy's doing all that he can for you, so learn some patience and say thanks. (sorry to the repsectable Sprint guys, you know who you are)

Thanks all!
