I think the number of people who have the ringtone issue with R3BORN is somewhere around 3, however if you get it the only fix is the wav convert fix. (whihc I think isn't a "fix" it's more of another option)

I havnt had any different battery life than any of his other ROM's in fact I am still waiting for it to get down to 10% so I can charge it again. (right now at 20) Battery life for me is still good.

Is it worth flashing to? Your still on Sprint stock...yeah take a pick of any ROM and it's worth flashing from Sprint stock. Mighty's is the best though, so you shouldn't search any further.

Thanks so much for the quick response. Another fear i have is that i will brick a rather expenisve phone. I have experience upgrading OS's on blackberry but have never done it for a WM phone.

i saw a thread about recovering phones if they get stuck while trying to upgrade.
if i need to send it in to sprint for something unrelated to flashing roms, can i get it back to a factory state without them knowing i played with the ROM or OS?

Hey guys, just in case anyone hasn't noticed. Mike is 4 thanks away, better make that 3 :) from 30K reputation which to me is just as impressive as the one million view count he just acheived on the tp thread. This rep speaks volumes to the fact that Mike is appreciated on this forum and the Tp forum not only for his roms, but for answering question and such. I am sure he will hit this as well tonight. Congrats Mike again!!

Just follow the instructions and how-to's on the forum here, Mike's ROM won't brick your phone. Flashing to a GSM ROM(which I don't think there are any on this forum)will. If you have to send it back to Sprint flash back to the Sprint stock ROM and relock your phone and they won't know a thing.

No, I have not. The sounds in question are the default ones that come preinstalled on WM 6.1 -- no custom MP3s, if that matters. Without checking my phone, I'm not sure what the stock sound format is, to be honest.

@Mike: no offense intended. I think your ROMs are wonderful, wonderful things. The piece of **** "maintenance release" from Sprint a month or so ago is precisely what prompted me to go the custom ROM route for the first time, and yours is easily among the best I've tried.

coverting to wav does not fix anything not with 4.8 or the latest rom reborn!!!!! Mike any ideas what is causing this issues please we have been dealing with this for at least 6 to 7 months. YOUR ROMS WOULD SIMPLY BE THE BEST IF WE COULD GET PAST THIS ISSUE , and TREmp77 i know 6 ppl that use this rom in my town and all of us have this issue so i dont know where you get off saying 3 ppl in total have this problem cause thats simply just not true

I said it because I only counted three people who have been on here that have said something (as far as I remember), tell your friends who use the ROM to get on here and say something and get it more out there so people know.

As far as the WAV "fix", I said it wasn't a fix just another option and if your phone has had ringtone problem we are referring to for 6 or 7 months, check your phone because most of us here havnt had the issue until the last couple releases. Converting to WAV helped some people, so it is an option. If it didnt help you, sorry, I guess you are SOL.

Where do you get off calling me out like that, when all I was saying was the same thing others have been saying, I'm not spreading around misinformation and Mikes ROMs are simply the best even with the issue.

man what is wrong with you ppl i just asked a question chill out and stop crying everyone takes things here so god damn seriously anytime anyone says something to someone in this thread the other person flys off the handle i didnt call you out i didnt insult you NOTHING i just asked where you got your info a simple " i just got it from the thread" would have been suffice,ya i may be wrong by saying 6 to 7 months but it just feels like its been every release since 4.x series, i just wanted to know if you know for a fact that 3 ppl had the problem or if more ppl were having the issue cause i know more than that i just wanted mike to know that it was more than just 3 ppl and this is a big cause if your phone wont ring then its kind not the best because i dont see how missing important calls all day long is good in anyway, I dont know about you guys but im sick of my gf B****ing at me cause i dont answer the phone dont know about you but its kinda making my life hell and HATE every other rom out there cause they just suck compared to mighty rom and stock hell dont even go there cause i tell you i wouldn't have even bought this phone if there went custom roms cause stock on these phones is just shi$ so chill out !!!!! god i'm sick of having to explain myself to you guys because if i dont word my post just perfect its not if someone will flip out over it its when!!!!

EDIT: Ha my post beat your edit...Anyways, yeah I asked if the peoplel who had the problem could speak up so we could know if what was widespread and only 3 people said something. I feel your pain with your gf, when I had it on 4.8, I missed a call from my wife when I was at the bar...nothing good comes from that.
