Re: How To: Kitchens

Tobey just uploaded the v3b 20931 to the FTP, just d/led and flashed and it worked perfectly this time.

Hey Tobey, whats the difference on the newer Enlarge Title Bar and Touch Flo OEMs? The defaults that are checked have older version numbers? I'm flashing the newer ones but just wanted to ask to see if you had any info.

Re: How To: Kitchens

Hmmmm that new Touch Flow version makes the bottom bar (soft keys and SIP menu) behave a little wonky. I'd have to tap really far into the bottom or almost to the top of the bar to get the sip menu to pop up and then to pop up the sip selection menu I would tap a little to the right like normal and it would tap the right soft key. It was being hard as hell to work with the SIP menu for some reason. Didn't test anything else just noticed that one real quick and re-flashed with the default TouchFlo version and the problem disappeared.

Re: How To: Kitchens

There's a reason it's not public yet and I can't get the v2a now.
Somebody here is pulling all the bandwidth.

I have NO radio after my flash. I'm trying again to see if it'll come back up.

You mean v3a? I just d/led v3b and flashed just fine, mixing and matching right now with some of the new stuff to see what I'm gonna stick with and setup my stuff to use it for the next few days and see how this new XIP, OEM and SYS work.

Yeah I'm all messed up, "corrupt" ringtones and still no radio at all.

Re: How To: Kitchens

BTW just let everyone know I added a second bluetooth device. Now my menu shows

2nd Device added
"Add new device..."
1st Device added

In that order. So besides the "Add new device..." not being at the top we're good.

Edit: Spoke too soon A2DP is producing no sound. Then again I'm using 20931 V2a so maybe the missing options.xml means I'm missing some critical file or something is missing in that 20 megs that this sys is short by.

Re: How To: Kitchens

Hmmmm well that sux for the BT users. I don't use BT all that much except for the handsfree in my car and bt modem to my laptop so I can't vouch for any BT issues. Then again I haven't paired the new flash to my car nor to my laptop yet. Nor have I tried the FM radio.

I guess it will take about a day or two before we can all sift through this new SYS. If not I know I was waiting for the 20757 to come out so I might as well try it.

EDIT: Not ready to pass jundgment just yet because I'm in my office where my signal isn't as good but YouTube playback seems to be a little clunky.

Re: How To: Kitchens

Built my first ROM - Really easy with this guide - So thanks for that.

Does someone have a chart of what does what (and if I remove something, will effect something else) on the BuildOS screen?

Also, I got the error of Error - Processing OEM\ Manial Sprint. Couldnt find the Customization section to read about this error?

Were are the OEMizer, Customization and BuilOS sections
Sorry if this is a n0oB question - Just want to try and get as far as I can by myself without to many questions?

TIA

Re: How To: Kitchens

I answered that for myself searching each thing that is listed on the BuildOS on XDA and Google. Twas' a bright learning experience.

As for Manilas you have to select ONE manila type (altell, sprint, telus, etc) AND the Base Manila checkmark.

For OEMizer you run the "Oemizer.exe" before running "build my rom.exe". Customizations? Do you mean Reg Edits, UC?
