Ok... are you sure you're using my files? From what I can see, those files do not exist. The file should only exist in Dummy Custsat, an OEM created by no2chem.

I'd re-unrar the files and start over, and download v3b while you're at it, because you don't have the latest

When you get an error look at the status bar in BuildOS and it will say where it stopped.

Re: How To: Kitchens

Awesome info Tobey, I noticed that form OEMizer once when I used it a few moons ago but its nice to know how the kitchen behaves. I just saved that snip into a notepad and put stored it along with the kitchen and module downloads.

And with 20931 I really hammered on it during the gridlock now after work and I did notice some performance hiccups that I wouldn't get on previous builds. I did test the handsfree BT to my car and as some have reported, only a single call can be made and after you hang up all sound gets lost with a soft reset required.

I'm gonna switch to 20757 as it seems like reports of it are turning out that it is very stable. Great job as always team C4RBON! I'm feeling like I might try to make a ROM release soon once I get comfortable editing and messing with the kitchen enough.

Re: How To: Kitchens

I noticed that the first posts mentions that the detailed info for OEMizer is a work in progress. Is there a good resource someone can point me to to learn how to use OEMizer to add cab files to a custom rom? Thanks.

Re: How To: Kitchens

This is what I did for my first OEMizer try

(Do this first - In the kitchen folder create a Folder called Group - Name and inside the folder create a XML file mxip_myProv_100.provxml - I used DreamWeaver - I had to do this just to see the text of what the end result would be)

The File/Shortcut section - This is were you can add cabs - I added three cabs with the "New File" button - If I understand how this worked it added a Folder in the OEM folder called "Group - Name" - And in BuildOS it only adds one "package" - In this case all three cabs in one line item (I think)

Additional Reg items is exacly what it is called - You can add your weather and touch regs - I think

So on and so forth

From my little experience - Seems to me you could basically set up your whole phone just the way you want it - Add pop, exchange, Imap, User info all that.

I hope that helps - I am still learning also

: )

Never read it, but I'm sure it has everything you could want to know.

I use the older one as well, which is why it's the default, I included the new one in case someone wants to test it out

Re: How To: Kitchens

Yeah it seems that new Touch Flo is designed for the Blackstone as metioned by Calcu in his ROM/Kitchen thread. That would epxlain it since the Blackstone's digitizer has different pixel x pixel dimenstions. I've been sticking with the default one. Have you noticed anything different with the newer large titlebar Tobey?

BTW, I've spent the afternoon with a 20757 based ROM and I am noticing its more graphically stable and a little smoother in operation. I've only come accross one pretty annoying bug though. I implore you to check it out to make sure its not something I'm doing thats causing it:

The select button on the center of the dpad works randomly. Sometimes it works, sometimes you have to tap it twice, sometimes you just have to lift your finger from the button area for a second or two before taping it (doing that made it work the first time I pressed it every time). Don't know if this has to do with the way I have my SIP setup or what.

I also noticed that my Music Playback is a little skippy every now and then but that might be due to some file system filter cache tweaks I did wich may not have been smart. jejeje So I'm not going to call that one a bug until I re-flash or hard-reset and check it out with nothing installed.
