The phone does lock most, if not all the files in those folders if you are trying to overwrite them using the pc. You can still read from them without issue.

I'm stumped. Is there an alternate program for unlocking?

You Have to show protected files on your PC. In Vista it is Start/Control Panel/ Folder Options/View and check Show Hidden files and uncheck Hide Protected Operating system Files. This will give you a couple of .ini files on you desktop so you might want to go back to hidinf system files after you are finished working on files on your Diamond.

Try to reinstall or update .net framework.

I see the 1.5 carrier roms on the 1st page, but I cannot seem to access any of them. I get an error 404 and the url is not accessible. What's up with that?
