after the initial splash screens load and u set your stylus configuration, u'll tap the screen to start up your device and you'll see the windows mobile interface... then a box will pop up saying "customizations will run in 3..."

when that box pops up, you have to soft reset immediately and that will not allow "customizations" to be installed(like sprint tv, picmail, and others)

since i dont have sprint, can someone let customization run and see if it works? once again this may **** up your phone, but probably not. sinc eyou spritn users were so gung-ho about 2.1, i naturally assume you will be willing to test ur own device

how do you hard reset? I know the process but don't know what is the best way to physically press four buttons at the same time.

screen of phone facing your left palm, thumb on power, middle finger on voldown, and ring finger on center ender button... then other hand with stylus and hit reset button

u need 3 hands to do it easily lol

Downloading Sprint 2.1 and will install as soon as my battery gets some charge. I had Telus running since Sunday and everything was pretty good, battery seemed the same as the stock rom.

just want to confirm: I can do soft reset by either holding down power button for 5 secconds or pointing stylus into reset hole in the back?
