Apparently, the Tahoma font files in \Windows are different. This was proven when I looked at the WM6 Device Emulator and compared the files.

Results:

[Device Emulator]
tahoma.ttf = 128kb
tahomabd.ttf = 129kb

[Juicy ROM v2.22]
tahoma.ttf = 144kb
tahomabd.ttf = 127kb

My app worked fine on JuicyROM v1.06, but then messed up on v2.22 because the font metrics changed and in turn my button sizes were wrong. As was the alignment and such.

So I took the two font files from the WM6 Device Emulator and copied them over to my Diamond in \Windows. Soft Reset and voila! Everything is back to normal again.

I'm not sure what caused the font file change, and don't have JuicyROM v1.06 anymore to verify the files sizes there.

But at least now we know.

Enjoy. =D>
Good catch. Will include this in 2.3

EDIT: Do you know where these files are located?

I did softreset. I had read somewhere for one of these config tools that I am supposed to wait 30 seconds for the changes to stick. I find that hard to believe but are you guys waiting that long?

I'd be interested to hear your impressions between the two.

Please note the Sprint ROM has a 6MB PP for 2.2

Both flavours will have 0MB PP (Dynamic Pagepooling) in 2.3+

Thanks
i thought it was, but have heard mixed results.

i thought it was due to, or at least, partly due to the inability for Sprint to roam on VZW towers, which would mean poorer signal strength in some areas, which means the device would boost the power to get a better signal (flickering signal bars) and thus drain the battery quicker.

That has been fixed in 2.2

Please let me know how you find battery life in 2.2
