Personally I use GoogleMaps 2.2, and will be including it in my next release.

I never use VoiceCommand and it consumes system resources because it initiates on start-up.

Hi juicy47! I took my first look at a diamond rom tonight and I'm glad to see that it hasn't changed much from a Vogue. Thought I'd drop in and say hi and knock out your .tsk problem....

This folder contains the Today images default_stwater*.* from the tsk file: ..\SYS\base_dpi_192_resh_480_resv_640

And if you delete ..\SYS\Base_DPI_192\mxipcold_wpc_2.provxml You can set the theme you want.

I've got some custom Today theme OEM's in my OEM request thread btw...Or I can make you one if ya want...Have a great day!

Re: Juicy ROM v1.01

do you need it to be in unlocked mode to put this new rom on it?

or do you let it boot up normally and then click the exe and let it run?

cuz in the bootmode i cant get it to sync with the pc

imneveral0ne 08-30-2008 10:35 AM

Re: Juicy ROM v1.01

once your phone is unlocked just turn your phone on normal and activesync it. the open the exe and let it run and it'll restart your phone and put it into unlock mode and install it automatically

Unless we are talking about a bloody iPhart or something, just remove the Voicecommand exe from the startup folder and viola... it doesn't start and consume resources. Simple solution to a very minor problem.

The reason we use Windows Mobile over the Jobbie phone is due to the simplicity of modifying the device to suit our needs. Any Scotsmen on the forum willing to chime in on this post ?

Re: Juicy ROM v1.01

Great rom there but I'm trying to make Diamond profile switcher and it gives me a critical error when I try to launch it.

Also LobsterTunes does have some problems too, When it's not quiting by itself suddently it can't stream music file from my computer, From wifi or data connection. I can browse through my files perfectly on the other hand!

Does anyone have the same problem as me?

EDIT: Just tested the GPS with googlemaps and it's not working, do I need to configure something?

I've been basing most of the changes in my ROM around how I use the device, and I simply do not use MSVC. If you would like me to add the functionality back, I will do so and simply remove the startup initialization.

Thx for your feedback!

I'm not familiar with those apps, but maybe they were reliant on the catalog files I removed. PM me and let's sort this out.

Google Maps works for me. can someone else chime in here?

EDIT: I've made some tweaks to vastly improve GPS lock times. You'll find the goodies in 1.02 as soon as it is done.

Out of curiosity, can any hardware hackers confirm if our Telus HTC Diamond phones are physically missing the FM radio hardware, or is it just turned off somehow?

I'm hoping it can somehow be renabled. :/

Various people have stated that the FM radio on the GSM Diamond was in fact in the headphones themselves. Currently there is no evidence on the same capability in the CDMA headphones.

Please try and keep on topic.

Hey
I just got a Diamond from Telus ... looking for customization....

Is this juicy rom and great explanation for CDMA variants of the Diamond ?

Thanks :)

The ROM is intended for use on the Telus Network, and CDMA Diamonds only.

TobeyChris has spent a good deal of time organizing some info here: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=36062

Once you are unlocked, feel free to load my ROM. I've structured the improvements along how I use my device, and some of the shortcomings I've experienced with the stock Telus ROM. Happy flashing!

Will it work on the Sprint CDMA variant?
If not, will you be offering a Sprint variant or will there be a kitchen add-on for the Diamond?

Yes I will offer a non-carrier specific rom once the Sprint ROM is dumped, so I can grab you the proper carrier settings.

Juicy47 i would be interested in a rom with the telus stuff removed. ALL the apps you have added in the current rom list and none of the stock WM 6.1 apps removed. and the tweaks installed of course. thanks in advance if you decide to release this rom.

Do you have a non-telus Diamond? I'm just wondering how you will be able to setup your carrier settings.

Yes. Let customization run. it will set our theme to HTC Black, and install the extra tab in TouchFlo3D among other things.

Thanks for your feedback!

Just out of curiosity, what do you use it for? Chinese characters?

I don't think most people will use it. I'm contemplating splitting my ROM into 2 flavors for future releases.

Lite - no Transcriber, no VC, no InternetSharing, no Office, no Messenger, etc.
Full - full featured ROM with my tweaks and add-ons

Ok, I was just curious :)

What are your impression re: the GPS? After syncing with QuickGPS, the lock time should be greatly reduced.

Just make sure you follow cmonex's guide to unlock.

If you get stuck and need to enter the bootloader, just press and hold Volume Down + Power + Reset.

Sorry, don't know of any .cab for the VGA/Diamond version. Since PIMBackup is inluded in all ROMs since 1.00 you shouldn't have a problem flashing a new one. Just make sure you backup your PIM data to internal storage.
