I dont like to have packages, programs or features. Im going to stick with what Ive got so far. CNeufeld, are you running 1.03

Flashing to 1.03 now to test gsen.

also on a side note juicy have you tried compressing the exe and dll files in the rom to save space. i know this was done on the wm6 treo cooked roms. saved a fair bit of space.

yeah the gsen app is supposed to auto landscape EVERYTHING not just the programs menu, they issued a problem with the telus rom, i guess your rom doesn't solve anythign either..

ahh well, i have my talk button mapped to autorotate for landscape. works good for now :)

Hmmm it only seems to work on the programs screen. Sorry to get your hopes up. I only tested it for 2 secs and deleted it.

I can try using sensor setting from the Raphael in 1.04+

EDIT: If you tilt it to landscape in program files, and then launch messaging then it will start the app in landscape format.

i wonder if taking the g-sensors dll files from the GSM's pre 1.93 rom and try them on our device with gesen. so it functions correctly

Are you kidding? I'm a coward! :)

Actually, I haven't got around to flashing mine yet. Still running the stock. I believe ghetto had the other control panel on his Diamond, if not on his ROM.

You guys are all doing great stuff, but I haven't seen any hugely compelling reason yet to update. Maybe if my GPS wasn't working properly I'd be more excited about it. :) But I was lucky enough to have mine work out of the box, so it hasn't been a big deal. Do you guys see any performance difference in general on your ROM's?

Here's a list of the programs I've got installed and use on my machine...
Garmin Mobile XT
GowerPoint uBook
BubbleLevel
TouchWatch
Resco Explorer, FTP, and Registry
Sushi's TF3D Config
no2chem's CPL and 1% driver
.Net Framework 3.5

Most of the stuff isn't too bad to re-set up, although Mobile XT, uBook and Resco involve re-entering registration codes. Not the end of the world. I also use Transcriber and VoiceCommand, both of which seemed to be up and down in some of the ROM's that have come out. Not a huge issue, though.

Anyway, that's my long, beer-induced ramble...

Clint

It was kicked to the curb. I will update the changes log. It was only useful for debugging. Now that I have the Diamond QuickGPS tool working there was no need to keep the other package in there.

How did you map your talk button?

Re: [09/03/08] JUICY ROM v1.03

well first off, if you have Diamond TF3D Config utility installed, make sure u enable the manual rotation registry edit.

then start >settings > buttons, and instead of vioce command, choose rotate screen.

and if you have diamond tweak, or advanced config utility, turn on cleartype inlandscape mode to get clear text.

pretty easy

Juicy i know ur taking a rest, well deserved. just wanted to report that 1.03 is working very well. except for the known issues.

one thing to include in your next rom would be the landscape mode registry hack so we can have the option to change the Call button to the switch to land scape mode.

MightyMike 09-04-2008 11:43 AM

Re: [09/03/08] JUICY ROM v1.03

Hey Juicy,

I just also wanted to report that the rom is working great. But here are some things you may want to look into for future releases.

I suggest you personally install Diamond Tweak, and Advanced Configuration Utility, and apply all their registry hacks within your roms. For example (Diamond tweak has reg. edits to enable the sensor wheel in all applications, such as your contacts, ie, etc)

Using those two programs you could use all the reg. edits and fully load your rom so we don't have to install those applications anymore.

Also what Juggz said about the landscape mode, as well as cleartype in landscape mode.

:) Great Rom so far!

Thanks for all the kind words and support guys. 1.04 will include lots of new registry tweaks, and I will try my best to accommodate full landscape support

Juciy, can you include Mobile Justice anti theft software in your next release.

Its a program that reports your devices GPS coordinates via a secret sms text message that contains your pass code. Mobile Justice intercepts the message and responds discreetly with the devices gps location where u can use google earth to find your device theif.

here is the info and download on it.

http://sourceforge.net/projects/mjustice

My gut feel is no, unless there is slot of demand to have it included, otherwise you can just add it on later

Well it does seem useful I don't want to force it on everyone.

As an aside, is there something everybody wants REMOVED from 1.03?
