Welcome back, fellow surfers who seek a new, better ROM. Its your host 2 Bunny here once again for an update in the world of Elite.

These last few weeks have posed even further delays to the release of the ROM. Inside I cry each day that I can't get back out to the kitchen to fix the ROM up even better, and I have not, and will never forget the community in our quest for a good Diamond ROM. Just so you guys aren't "out in the cold" here, I have prepared a special list of things that need to get done. Some more urgent that others (some don't even need to be done before the release, but it would be helpful...):

(FIXED - 10/21) #1: First and foremost: The retarded default Programs folder shortcuts. Dang, these things have been a pain. In another thread, I was suggested a utility named "Agent Ransack" to help me find the DAT files that were sticking the Programs folder shortcuts in Random subfolders of "Programs". To put it simply, instead of:

"Programs>Phone
Programs>Windows Media Player
Programs>SPB Screenshot"
It looks more like this mess:
"Programs>Applications>Phone
Programs>Multimedia>Windows Media Player
Programs>Utilities>SPB Screenshot"
I am going to hunt for what is causing that again, this time searching under some different shortcuts, so I think that can be worked out relatively easily.

(FIXED - 10/21) #2: The Dialer - Just never looked right to me. I didn't like that the only way to scroll through the lackluster list of recent calls was with the wheel (although It was pretty fun). Also, it looked really stupid in landscape. To be honest, I liked the one from Caulkin's Kitchen the best, the Mythical "Rhodium PhoneCanvas". If I can't get one that looks like that, I'll go with the runner up, Tachi/Knoop Dialer (Knoop is so fun to say, so that gives it points extra ☺) which is Identical to the "Rhodium PhoneCanvas" with the exception of a very annoying and retarded slide down menu on the screen while you are in a call. Now instead of just tapping a button to activate speakerphone, you get to painstakingly drag a stupid little slider to the bottom of the screen. Yippee! I always take Dialer suggestions as you can imagine.

(Started Working on this, changed XML in DiamondTweak/Advanced Config in the kitchen, but many settings were reverted. May need to add a "Z" in front of the folder name in the kitchen so that these settings are applied last :: Work in Progress) #3: Various Default Settings - Oh where to start. The Backlight, stupid "threaded mode" for SMS/MMS Messages, WiFi Standby mode (disabled by default), Volume levels, and several more that will hit me like a ton of bricks the next time I flash a ROM.

#4: Device does not wake up or unlock when the stylus is removed. What a pain.

#5: Fonts - Its really hard to see, but I think some of the graphical glitches are caused by a slightly different font. Don't know if we'll fix this one.

#6: TF3D Slider - You know how on most devices in Landscape mode the way oversized "Slide Bar" for TouchFlow 3D always disappears into a little arrow that you have to tap to make it appear? Well, for some reason, this particular version does it in portrait too - can you say "AAAAUUUUGGGGHHH!"?

#7: Minor Annoyance, but I would like to not have to go through the slow FNGKB configurator at each and every ROM Flash to turn off those irritating "clicks" and that ugly Blue Skin.

#8: Manila TF3D - Just another minor annoyance, but I have come accustomed to the "Comm Manager" button being the right softkey on the TF3D "home" tab. I've currently been working on a recipe to implement this, but will probably not be able to mix it in until tonight or tomorrow.

#9: FlipIt - This one still is being a pain. Even CAB2OEMing and "Ext_Packages_Converter"ing isn't doing the trick quite right. I am currently hunting for proper OEMs of this.

Thanks for all the help and support from the community over the months everyone, it sure has made my Diamond better, even with the above complains, and hopefully in the (very) near future, I will be able to give back to the community with a brand new version of Elite.

Cool. I think what I'll do so that the rest of the world doesn't have to standby and wait while the Diamond becomes obsolete is I can release a ROM, then supply y'all with some quick CABs and the like to fix it up right off the bat. Hopefully I can have that ready this weekend.

Cannot wait to try this out. Using Energy right now and the battery life is killing me, or my Diamond at least.

Battery life and the fact that the ringer keeps not working for the energy rom. I switched over to O.a.T rom for the time being which seems to be great once I installed cookie 2.0. Looking forward to what Elite rom can bring

Thanks for all the support guys. I'm really sorry again for the massive delay here. I've been in the process of transferring the kitchen over to my shiny new laptop, and will pull together whatever I can get tomorrow. If I remember correctly, I had put together a small CAB file that fixes a few things that I haven't managed to fix in the kitchen so far.

I look forward to the release as much as the rest of the community does, thanks again for all your support.

I just downloaded the thanksgiving release. I am having an issue with the pictures. when i scroll to the pictures tab I am able to swipe through them but if i click on one to enlarge it the picture comes up for a brief moment and then it takes me back to the pictures tab. Is there a way to reinstall the album to fix this?

I'm interested in checking out your ROM. I'm using the MikROM right now, but I like to keep checking out other ROM's. I like how you are actually working on the phone even though a lot of people are going to the droids.

2Bunny, the reason why the phone doesn't wake up when you pull out the stylus is because you are using the real wm6.5 aku, that's been an error for a long time now and hasn't been fixed, but it is worth using the aku because you don't have to recmod anything
