Re: Upgrading Phone with Sprint SERO

I've recently helped a couple friends renew their Sprint contracts. My best advice: Play Hardball. If you are off-contract, then you have a strong negotiating position. If you have been with Sprint a few years, even better. And since you have SERO, you probably have been with Spring a long time. Use all this to your advantage. Threaten to leave Sprint for AT&T or T-Mobile if they do not agree. Then let them sweat a day or two before calling back to resume the negotiation. It may work, or it may not. Still, never accept a 'No' from someone who can't say 'Yes'. Last edited by kidFromBigD; 09-01-2009 at 11:43 AM. Reason: A bit of clarity to my thoughts... |

Re: Upgrading Phone with Sprint SERO
Sero will not work with the Pre or Instinct because those phones need an EVERYTHING plan to use all the features.
Theres no getting around it

Re: Upgrading Phone with Sprint SERO
Thats what Sprint wants you to believe. A SERO plan has all of the sprint offerings at a lower price. Sprint just wont let their exclusive devices on a SERO plan so they can milk you for more money. A parallel from ATT is their requirement for certain plans for the Iphone.

Re: Upgrading Phone with Sprint SERO
A random question somewhat related. I'm on a third party plan for 20 bucks a month, and now I'm seriously looking at the new Hero in October. We aren't suppose to upgrade in store, so I'm thinking I'll just try another 3rd party store. Is bestbuy a good option for this?
