Sprint Mobile Broadband

Hello is the mobile broadband faster then using the phone hooked up to the laptop?

if so, how much faster and what deals can I get buying the mobile broadband?

I think it is a little faster. Maybe 100kbps faster.
I think those air cards/broadband cards are cheap to buy you just have to pay a monthly fee for access. I think about $40.

its evdo but lappys have faster processors and faster pcix bus speed so its gunna be like slow cable connection and its like 70 for unlimited data otherwise its cheaper for up to 5 gigs

I use a Franklin 680 USB with Millenicom for mobile laptop access. Millenicom uses the Sprint network and its been reliable and functional. The thing I like about Millenicom is that for the same price as Sprint ($60 month) it is NOT limited to 5 gigs which it would be if you have the same plan at Sprint. Also, there is NO contract. You can quit at any time and sign up again with no ETF's or other contract issues.

Unless you have a really old laptop it will appear faster because you will be using a device with a faster processor and processing and more memory.

i just got my sprint 597 last week activated we are fixing to have evdo here in the 18 and wimax and today i got my 598 usb aircard and so far still slow 1x still i have got evdo and it goes fast thoe i say it is a big diffrence on phone as modem and aircard i pay 60 atm 5 gig cap thoe but some how on my count on usage 5 gig is very low like 400mbdiffrence and i have use way more then that on it lol but its awsome im connected faster and everywhere but i still use phone as modem if i wanna download something big thoe
