Re: Insurance option besides Asureon?
It won't help if the phone or lost or stolen but squaretrade.com sells warranties that will cover you if the phone is damaged.

Re: Insurance option besides Asureon?
take the $6 you spend every month and put in a savings account. when you can add a little extra. then if you lose your phone or it gets stolen just dip in the funds for a replacement from ebay.

Re: Insurance option besides Asureon?
for 2 years, a total of ......... $48
i tired to get it online, but i bought my phone Jan 19, and they count that as day 1, so today was day 31. the website didn't want to give me accidental protection. but i called and i told them i bought it on Jan 19th, She set it up w/ the accidental, and the original total was like $96. before she took my CC info, i told her i had a coupon code, she took it and i was charged only $48. |

also, when you weigh in all that (sprint $7 mo ins vs squaretrade) don't forget that Sprint's deductible is going to $100 in april.. (atleast, that's what i read on here...) Last edited by ulysses; 02-18-2009 at 01:25 PM. |

Re: Insurance option besides Asureon?
hahah, where did you go? TJ?
The touristy areas of mexico like cancun or acapulco ain't so bad, its almost like the states, but they sell bottle beers for 50 cents in the mexican equivalent of 7-11 Anyway, if you have homeowner insurance, maybe they'll tack it on. At this point with the 100$ deductible, you're probably better off without insurance. To tell you the truth I haven't used my insurance once. Everything has been done through service and repair. But it only costs 3$ a month to insure a phone thats worth at least 300$ so might as well leave it there. The cost/benefit difference is negligible at this point.
