Re: Sprint 5GB internet cap

I'm just going to continue to use my phone as usual if Sprint contacts me and gives me guff, I'll simply pack my bags and use another provider. (Last month my usage was around 4.2GB) without tethering.

Re: Sprint 5GB internet cap

I still don't understand where those of you who say you'll leave Sprint because of this are planning on going for service. I know it sucks, but why pay more for data service with the same cap?

My thoughts exactly. I hate to reward s company with continued business when they pull that crap but they are still faster and cheaper than the other major carriers in my area.

Re: Sprint 5GB internet cap

I'm not saying I would leave Sprint because of this cap. Rather, I'd continue my same level of usage and if Sprint would decide to drop me; I wouldn't mind finding another solution or provider for level of service I desire. Why become complacent and yield to Sprint's intolerance for customers that force them to do their jobs i.e. invest in customer service and the over all quality of their network to provide acquaint service. No thanks, I wont pander to Sprint.

If they want my hard earned dollar my friends; to quote RuPaul "they betta work" otherwise I'll find a company that does.

Re: Sprint 5GB internet cap

this cap is for data card and pam..not vision or powervision through your phone or pda...any phone or pda with nia disabled will be fine when tethering. so its not as bad as everyone makes it out to be...

Re: Sprint 5GB internet cap

ok so how do i disable NIA. i just came to sprint at the end of april, i got a mogul and the sierra compass597. part of the selling point was that sprint was the only unlimited carrier and therefore i could cancel comcast. my plan to be mobile was to take the laptop to my cabin where i have **** for tv reception. so why pay for 2 internets? i feel as tho i got the old bait and switch. so i either want an opt out or im clog the pipes as much as possible. i mean seriously the rumor hit the net 2 weeks after i signed up, and i just found out last week.

Re: Sprint 5GB internet cap

I talked to my local rep who is pretty knoweledgeable and he looked up the terms and he told me that the 5gb cap is only for wireless laptop cards and phone as a modem. He said that it doesnt affect phones. Just thought I would share that Someone may have already posted this info if they have I am sorry I did not get a chance to read the whole thread.

Re: Sprint 5GB internet cap

I guess sprint has made an official comment on the 5gb cap issue. Just read it over at http://www.boygeniusreport.com/
