OP if your going to verizon id wait for the rezound to ship on the 14th. One beast of a phone.
I already ebayed a phone and its ok I only plan to be there for 6 month or so.

Though we already got into some issues, wanted to swap numbers and the verizon guy told me to do that would mean we have to pay cancellation fees on both sprint and verizon..wth?

I called and talked to a manager about this. This is incorrect. With Verizon, as long as you have a smartphone (paying the $30 a month) and upgrade to another smartphone, you will not lose your unlimited data package.

This is also true from going to or from a 4G LTE to a 3G or back.

Even beat up the question with customer service. Even if Verizon changes plans and dont have a Unlimited data listed, the only way they can force you to change it is if you change your min package (and this is only if they do not offer it any more).

So you WILL NOT lose your unlimited data when upgrading, I would double check everything on your plan after the upgrade, just in case tho...

The unlimited only goes away if you renew your contract.

Re: Question about Verizon unlimited plan and changing phones

So I have been using this verizon line on my charge for a whole day now and it seems to be fairly good! My 4g speed has been off the roof and while tethering I feel like I am on a dedicated connection. Actually I did a speed test and I got faster speeds on my cellphone then on my desktop lol...now all I need is a decent new laptop :/

@fixxxer2008 - I have no clue what problems you were hearing about the Droid Charge but so far everything seems to be fairly smooth. Might be because as a coincidence official Gingerbread leaked and I loaded that which fixed a lot of issues...who know? :/..

Again, You are totaly incorrect (like of like you have been in other posts but, anyway), unless you have your info from someplace, but, prove it.. I talked to 3 people at verizon, 1 in store, 1 manager and 1 in CS. they all told me the same exact thing.

As I am even off contract, but, on a renewal, as long as you came from and are getting a Smartphone, you WILL NOT lose your unlimited data. It's different if you go from a smartphone to a non-smartphone and upgrade to a new smartphone, you will lose it.

I have not been under contract for over 7 years now....heh...but, if I lost my unlimited data by moving to a new contract(aka new phone), I might just give AT&T a shot....as I am not saving anything staying with vzw...
