AT&T and T-Mobile Meger, Good or Bad ?

I don't see this happening in it's current state. Att is planning on putting all tmobile users on it's frequency and using tmobile's frequency as it's 4g....meaning all tmobile users must buy an att phone or lose 3g with their current phone.

yeah i'd be surprised to see if the anti-trust law allows at&t to have 43% of the market.

It's going to be interesting, any way about it...

Anti-trust comes in where there is only one company controling or trying it to control it all, allowing for no consumer choice. This is not the case here, Sprint and Verizon are still avaiable and strong companies at this point.

If this goes through, yes, AT&T will have control of most if not all of the GSM coverage in the US but, it will not be the only fish in the pond.

I honestly don't think, A company the size of AT&T would even attempt this if they didn't have a high chance to go through. 3 Billion is a lot of money for ANY company to just give away(the amount they have to pay if it does not go through).

I'm sure there is a lot of people being paid very well to make sure this goes thought.

It really will be itneresting on how it all plays out...

Non rich people have 2 choice: MetroPCS (only voice & text) or BoostMobile, so merge of AT&T and T-Mobile is bad for us, We do not want to loose Unlimited & cheaper everything.

I guess I would like to hear the thoughts from a non-Sprint or T-mobile customer. I'm on Verizon for their coverage, Sprint is so bad in my area, someone could give me a free SERO plan and I would just sell it.

I expect to pay a little more for bettter coverage and that is what I have had to do with Verizon. When I make a call 98% of the time it will go through, I can not say that with Sprint or T-mobile.

As AT&T is going have a better coverage map than Verizon after this is done, so paying about the same amount for as good or better coverage is always an option.

Everyone so far who has repied to this message is a Sprint or T-mobile customer...besides me (VZW)

I agree with you, I absolutely do not like ATT & when i heard this i was like NOOPEE! Verizon here I come!

Hey, reall trying to get a discussion going on this. I agree T-mobile has some good pricing but, coverage in a lot of areas is really bad (even in my area of NE).

If I could get T-moible prices with coverage like Verizon, Trust me, I would be a T-mobile customer and be almost as upset about it as you about this.
