Anti-trust comes in where there is only one company controling or trying it to control it all, allowing for no consumer choice. This is not the case here, Sprint and Verizon are still avaiable and strong companies at this point.

If this goes through, yes, AT&T will have control of most if not all of the GSM coverage in the US but, it will not be the only fish in the pond.

I honestly don't think, A company the size of AT&T would even attempt this if they didn't have a high chance to go through. 3 Billion is a lot of money for ANY company to just give away(the amount they have to pay if it does not go through).

I'm sure there is a lot of people being paid very well to make sure this goes thought.

It really will be itneresting on how it all plays out...
