Re: Sprint CEO hints unlimited data could end if usage gets crazy

For someone knowledgeable, wouldn't Sprint be breaking a contractual agreement if they reneged on their unlimited data plan? Most of us entered into a contract and agreed to start service and pay $10 extra per month, under the condition that we'd be getting unlimited data. If Sprint tried to go back on that, wouldn't that be voiding a contract? Could we then leave Sprint without a penalty i.e. early termination fees? And wouldn't Sprint be liable for breaking a contract?

All I know is if we get capped, that $10 fee better disappear immediately and allow people to leave, free from an etf, if they choose. That's only fair in the end.

Wow, you answered the question I just asked lol. I was wondering whether or not we'd be able to leave Sprint with no penalty, since Sprint would be essentially breaking a legally binding contract by switching up and implementing a cap.

Sprint agrees. They have a 5gb cap on 3g but unlimited 4g if you get their mobile hotspot $60 plan.

If Im not mistaken, this happened to ATT a few years back. I forgot which it was, either reneged on rollback minutes or unlimited internet...

oh yeah, 10/1 is around the block. At the very least, most if the folks we blasted before are paying more than $30 a month for their abused service. I know a lot of people that rape the idea of unlimited on their SERO Not saying SERO is bad, I'm actually envious). On their Treo 650s no less. So SERO in a few weeks are allowing new phones with 3g/4g on the plan. For $40/$50.

This cap I feel will happen soon. I feel the decision was either allow SERO customers to upgrade devices or keep the unlimited data thing going.

*Toast to the full price paying bandwidth conscious idiots that we are

maybe Sprint should stop putting out advertisements for their phone that suggests activating a hotspot when you go somewhere for everyone around you. As in people you do not even know. They actively promote this unbridled usage when they show a scene like a girl going to the airport or some public place and turning on a hotspot for people around her. I mean, really, why would you want people you do not even know using your bandwidth you pay 30 bucks extra for? Just because you can??? That's silly. Before Sprint changes anything they need to quit doing stupid promotions on tv and ads like this .

The fact that you're so narrow-minded that you automatically assume that the only people using their phones as modems are people who can't afford it, goes to show how ignorant you are. I could lambaste you even further, but I think I've already wasted enough keystrokes on you and I think you've already done enough of a good job making an azz out of yourself. This response had nothing to do with what I was talking about. There is no reason to get your panties in a bunch. I never called you names or cussed you out. Sounds to me you have some unresolved issues. Only point I was trying to get across is that abuse of cell phone data is going to cause sprint to switch to tiered services. Everything is ok man... Sorry if I hurt your feelings. For that I am sorry.
