Re: How to get Airave2 now with 3g

did you put the Airvana in FRONT of the router? if so thats why is slowed..

the airvana has Sprints future VOIP service inside and it must control QoS so that it gets sufficient bandwidth to handle VOIP calls.

if your router has QoS built in then you can set up your router to allow the airvana to have primary access.

in the meantime, you can put the airvana behind the router on an unused port and be just fine. thats what i did and thats how i had the first gen airave...

yep still wont hand off the call and that is the only negative if your not on a call when you leave then no biggie...

i disable QOS on both the router and the Airave. i just have too much data pumping through my network to have the Airave up front slowing things down. i have never been a fan of QOS on consumer devices (geared mostly toward VOIP and gaming). given how fast cable internet (and FIOS of which i cannot get... damn AT&T) is in 2010 having QOS enabled just makes for unacceptable bottlenecks.
