Re: SERO to allow other phones

its funny to me that so many people have been leeching off of sprint with 20 and 30 dollar smartphone plans for so long, now they are so mad that sprint is slowly moving them in to other plans, that they are going to tmobile or whoever. the blame cant be placed solely on one thing, but these plans were helping to keep sprint upside down financially for years. now that they realize it, your just going to jump ship? well, lets see how good t-mo treats yall. gonna be funny when they merge and its still called sprint, and they lay new fat sprint rates on you. to any one considering t-mobile, i hope you live in the big city, because anywhere even close to outskirts, or in the boondocks has NO service and NO roaming agreements.

QFT.

Fact is, if a SERO customer moved to EPRP for the EVO, theyre still paying FAR less than a plan with an HD2 (an inferior phone IMHO), and a larger footprint of coverage.

Even if no new phones are offered on SERO (which I have, and which I doubt they will do), Im not going anywhere. Ive had great service for years minus a couple customer service issues (which happens everywhere) and Sprint has the best pricing out there.

Re: SERO to allow other phones

i dont know if any of yall browse on slickdeals.net but the threads they have on how to get SERO plans and what not, a lot of them are saying how they are able to score crazy deals when switching from sero to the EVO plans, and getting HEAVY discounts to make up for the price difference such as 24$ off every bill for 12mos, pick 3's, nite/weekends start at 5pm etc etc... ive thought about trying this with the csr's because in reality phone sales are like car sales, u CAN haggle stuff if your persistant.

if we dont get new phones tho i still dont think id swap out of my sero contract. paying under 30$/ month for 500m and unlmited everything else is nice.

see, most people got sero by scamming an employee email addy online anyway. alot of (NOT ALL) these sero holders that are complaining so hard, are trying to hold on to a deal that wasnt even meant for them. i m not hating on that. i get a big discount that is better than the corp. disc. im supposed to be getting. let the hustlers hustle. but know when its time to let it go.

You mean like the "savings@sprint.com" that sprint leaked out to the deal sites to let people sign up without even knowing an employee? If they were concerned with "hustlers" signing up, they wouldn't have created a generic, public, back-door email address to allow more people to sign up. I think it was a myopic business decision wherein they decided that goosing their net subscriber gains was more important than maintaining a healthy margin by keeping an eye on ARPU. I used the savings@ email address and haven't missed any sleep over it. I don't feel like I hustled anyone, or got a plan that "wasn't meant for me" in the least. If they hadn't opened it up to people like they did, it might be a different story, and I can very well say I probably wouldn't have tried googling an employee email addy to sign up with. To me, that is starting to get into dishonest territory. Aside from that, SERO was, for awhile anyway, a "come one, come all" kind of party...with a wink and a nod from sprint itself.

This is why I dont get why they keep complaining about it. You're going to switch to tmobile who's selection of phones sucks and not only that, their COVERAGE sucks even more. So in essence you're going to leave, pay more to get less. Guess itmakes sense as to why our economy is in the tank with scholars like this.

Spoken like someone who arrived a bit late to the SERO party :P

The SERO customers will drop their SERO lines when they want or have to, whether that's next year or 2030. Many of them will be given incentive to do so in the form of newer phones or deep discounts. Even more will be thankful for having saved so much money. My suggestion to you is that you learn to deal with it since this has nothing to do with you... unless you own Sprint stock?

I'll have you know that I'm looking for a good condition Mogul as my next go-to device, sir. I have a PPC-6700 but it's 50% broken. Besides, the world is gonna end in 2012 anyway so who cares what phone you got (have you NOT seen the movie? Need I tell you about the Mayans???)

Ta-ta for now.
