Re: SERO to allow other phones
Man you guys have like 3 threads in my 1 that i started awhile back LOL.
I am on the fence with this.I called and got 1 out of 5 calls where the rep said Android on older plans but never said Evo. In fact i got so mad on my last call i had them note my account.I have a 7 line older plan and a 3 line ED1500 and if this were to come about i have it noted i can opt out of my ED1500 which i just opened a few weeks ago. I tried to get a right answer before my 30 days are up on this ED1500 and since they could not give me one with 5 different calls i finally got a Rep to note my account. So if not i still have what i have. And if this is true they can look up my notes on my account and see July notes where i can Opt out due to this. And yes i have called back and had them check and make sure the notes are still there. But even if they were not i have 3 EVO'S and if i Early terminated them the cost is what i would have to pay for a EVO without a upgrade anyway so it is win win either way. But my Honest opinion right now is this is NOT going to happen the way it is being posted on here. Many reasons but i will have to see it in print on there site to believe it. |

Re: SERO to allow other phones
With all this buying/selling of SERO accounts as well as the speculation on future value, I think we need to get this baboy listed on the NYSE so I can hear Jim Cramer telling me to BUY BUY BUY on the rumors of Android devices being allowed on SERO.

Re: SERO to allow other phones
Sero is such a small piece of the pie. There are tons more old plans then Sero.and Sero is a form of the older plans. If they are going to open it to Sero they will older plans as well.Would make 0 sense to open it for 1 type of older plans and not another. And about the Data if people do not have data on there account then they will have to have it added. But i do not see this happening to just Sero plans it is just so small of a group compared to the family plans. And it would blow out of the water there claim they make that the reason older/sero plans can't have Android phones is because it uses so much data you know the standard claim they make as to why it can't be on Sero or older plans. So if added to sero they have no reason or claim as to why the older plans could not have it. You will not see just Sero and not older plans it will be neither or both. But the way he described how the charges are being considered it would "not blow out of the water" the older excuses. He said that for 4G of any kind, Android or not, there would be a $10 4g charge on all plans. If you have a data plan any non smartphone will be able to be added at no charge, and any 4g will cost $10. In other words, if you have Sero or family with no current data included it will be $10 for a 3g smartphone and $20 for a 4g smartphone. If you already have data it will be $10 for 4g. I specifically asked f this was being confused with the SWAC changes and he said the SWAC (Sprint Employee) changes were being based on upcoming consumer changes. In terms of the putting it in writing, I don't think they will advertise this. I think it will be something offered/relented at the retention level as the prohibition at the account level is going to be removed. I wholeheartedly agree with people that this should be take with a grain of salt, and we will only know after Oct. 1 . But I doubt this is coming out of thin air or only about SWAC. |

Re: SERO to allow other phones
If this is true, This would be a great thing. I have the $50 1250 min plan on my phone and the $30 500 min on my 2nd line. I don't mind paying an extra $10 for 4g but I really do not want the anytime any mobile, sprint nav $10 upgrade also. Hope I can bypass that & choose the 4g upgrade only if any of this is true. They will probably remove my discount too if this upgrade becomes possible
