Sprint Rebate after buying from Radioshack

I bought a phone (Intercept) from Radioshack a few days ago and got the instant rebate. Could I or will it be possible to get a rebate from sprint still? Just curious. I also bought the lg rumor touch but returned it within a week and got the intercept. I sent the mail in rebate and it shows pending status on the webiste. Will they give me the rebate? thanks

Regarding the Intercept - I'm sure Sprint would have some record that you already received an instant rebate through Radioshack. I can't imagine that Radioshack (or any other Sprint retailer like Bestbuy) would simply eat the cost of the rebate. But hey, if you try it out, let us know what happens.

As for the LG Rumor, from my experience, in order to get the rebate you have to have the phone activated on your line for at least 30 days (past the return period). In the past I ordered a phone and like you returned it within a week for a different phone. I had a rebate submitted for each but only received a check for the later phone.

When the Touch Pro first came out, I bought it from Best Buy with the instant rebate. People were asking back then about getting the Sprint rebate too, and the consensus was that it wouldn't work. Sure enough, after it was too late for me to submit mine, people started posting that they also got the Sprint rebate.

I'd say it can't hurt to try, and you may luck out.

The reason why I wouldn't think it would work is when you submit the rebate form, aren't you supposed to enclose your purchase receipt with it? It's been a while since I submitted a rebate to Sprint but that's how I remember it.

When Sprint sees your purchase receipt from Radioshack, Bestbuy or whatever retailer, they'll see that you got an instant rebate already. So unless the Sprint employee processing the rebates doesn't catch that, I can't see how you could get a double rebate.

As I recall, it was something to do with Best Buy being an authorized reseller. Sprint apparently checked that part, but not the part that the rebate had already been applied, and went ahead and authorized it (again).

They've probably fixed that in their system by now, but again, it can't hurt to try.

I'll give it a try. I original sent the rebate for the lg and it shows pending online. Should i send another with the new purchase? Thanks

i recently got an evo and returned it within four days of the 30 days being up and still received the rebate. but i returned it in store and bought it online so that may be a difference
