They will fix it for ya but YMMV. I know, it sucks to have to deal with it.. But as the saying goes, the squeeky wheel gets the oil (or replaced haha)

Re: Sigh...my bill is $269...what the hell happened?
So I checked to see what my actual monthly bill would be and it's $173, with is a little under $20 more than my plan with two phones. So thats not bad I guess, but I see people all the time posting about how they only pay, like, $109 with two phones on 1500 shared everything which is exactly what I had beofr eevo but I paid 154. Always feel like sprint is jippin me... thanks for the replies guys, I'm trying desperately to get through to the echat but its aallwaayss busy (closed)

Re: Sigh...my bill is $269...what the hell happened?
everybody has their own discounts, special circumstances, etc. that are not everyday occurrences for most of us. thanks to the internet we can read about virtually anyone's special circumstances on how they got their bill reduced, discounts applied, how they did it, etc.. so don't get bummed out you are not able to get your bill to 109 like one or two other people..
hey there are some people who pay MORE or who actually PAY the activation fee because they dont subscribe to fourms such as this to alert them that they dont have to... so still be thankful! i have 4 lines with an evo on the 1500 plan to which i pay the 30 bux for hotspot and 10 for the 4g and my bill only increased about 20 dollars due to discounts i have on my service... |

Re: Sigh...my bill is $269...what the hell happened?
So I got through to eChat on Sprint and talked with the rep and he waived my activation fee. I'm not the kind of person who complains and complains until I get free stuff, I deal enough with those people at MY job, so I know how frustrating it can be.
I thanks him for waiving it (which should have been done in the first place) and asked what else made my bill go up. Since 173 (normal bill) plus 36 (activation fee) does not equal 269, he said the rest were taxes from the activation fee (which was credited) and then it was prorated for next month. Completely brain-dead when he said prorated and it all came back to me. So how would I go about not paying the full amount and have the rest added on next month? Very interesting... |

Re: Sigh...my bill is $269...what the hell happened?
Mine was $259 for 2 evos and 2 other lines, 4 lines total. I got them to knock off about $50 for the activation fee, international long distance and a couple of other things. Mine was so high because of the prorated amount plus the next month's service cost.

My girlfriend doesn't like to complain or be aggressive when it comes to bills, deals, etc. I am the complete opposite. I definitely think people can go too far with deal hunting etc, but when I am fighting for what I believe is fair or correct, it's nothing personal with the person I am dealing with over the phone. In the end, Sprint doesn't know who you are or care who you are. They only care about the money they take in and I only care about giving them as little of my money as possible. Don't be afraid to look out for yourself and fight for the money you work hard to earn.
