Before you complain about the coverage, look at the 4g map and see if it is offered in your area. St. Louis was just added to sprints map a couple days ago, and oddly enough it has been working better the past couple of days. 4g has been on and off for the few weeks i have had my phone, but not fast or reliable, but again, sprint wasn't claiming it was ready.
And like another poster said, "give it time" it has been up for a few days in my area, so i am expecting some issues still.
I ran a speedtest.net this afternoon and was almost 5 mbps.
I didn't buy the phone solely for 4g, if anyone did, i think they might be disappointed. Anytime you expect the latest whatever, expect to be a bit of guinea pig too.
how about you ding ding your 7 posts, and read, or look up my area before you chime in with your smart @ss answer ? Im paying $10 a months for service that im in prime area for and not getting anything over 3mb.. I have had my phone for 3 weeks now, coming off of a tp2, and the mougal before that and a ppc6700 before that, so i am familiar with tech and improvements.. I started this thread looking for others who should be getting 4g speeds and aren't.. This isn't a beta area I LIVE IN.. Again look at what was typed and read , before you start spewing your lack of knowledge..

as long as im paying for a service, im not getting, i have room for complaining.. Thanks for your opinion..

Re: 4g ..bs>>>

I was in Vegas for 3 days. Full bars on 4G still wasn't consistent enough to run speedtest.net. Youtube videos doubled in length because of the buffering. Switched youtube to SD mode and it would still stall when losing 4G signal.
Also, I noticed other apps that needed data would stall when the 4G would cutout and switch to 3G temporarily. Then it would stall again while switching back to 4G.

However, 3g in Vegas was awesome. Consistently high speeds up/down.

I don't live in a 4G market, but not really all that excited about getting it now.

THANKS for your input.. i was in Reno on Monday, and there not supposed to have 4g altho it connected to 4g and gave me full bars.. but only got 3g speeds..
the 3g was good.. but it was weird, cause 4g is not supposed to be supported there.

Re: 4g ..bs>>>

Too bad. In areas around Baltimore I get nearly 4mbps and I consider that awesome. Give the technology time to mature.

The specs on 4G max out around 10mbps with burst - you will likely never see that.

I assume you have an EVO, not a TP as in your profile? hey even 4mb would be better than maxing out @ 3, for the price..
