Re: Evo on free and clear! Finally :)

I found this thread trying to figure out how to get my HTC Hero to work with my F&C Plan 3000 which I got as a third party retailer for sprint. I tried the several numbers listed in this thread and also spoke with at least 5 customer care reps, most are clueless.

So essentially I am in a corner. I do not think I have anyway of activating this phone with my current plan. Has anyone successfully activated any of the HTC Android phones or have a plan code I can give the rep to make it happen? Any other information would be helpful.

Re: Evo on free and clear! Finally :)

ya i have my htc hero on the f&c 3000 plan third party employee line i no longer work for em but am lookin for a evo called n about a problem with my hero n the rep told me i would have no problem addin the evo on my plan as soon as i got it as long as i pay the $10 additional fee. If i had it added on the correct way thru the store manager would i still have to pay the additional 10 dollars?

Re: Evo on free and clear! Finally :)

For those of you who are still having trouble, I may have a solution for you.

I was calling and calling and everyone was telling me over and over that it could not be done. So, I decided to change my wording a little to just get the rep to follow my directions instead of thinking on their own.

I had been saying something along the lines of "can you please...".

The last, and shortest conversation, I spoke with confidence as if I had done this 1000 times. I called Business Support at 800-927-2199

"Thank you for calling sprint, can I have your ten digit..(blah blah blah)... How can I help you today?"

"I am using an old employee demo line, I just need to have it switched to the new 'Indirect Employee Demo Plan with WiMax' So I can activate my Evo. You should be able to find it in your system as 'Indirect Employee Demo Plan W' That is just a capital W at the end, it should make it pretty easy to find"

"Okay, hold on just a moment"

About a minute of hold music (which seems like five!)

"Sir, are you ready to activate the device now?"

"Yes"

"Okay just a moment"

About 20 more seconds of music.

"Alright, can you power on your device now to make sure it is activated" (I guess they already had the new info for the phone since I ordered it through the website)

The rest... is history. I am now loving me Evo!

Re: Evo on free and clear! Finally :)

How much is this EDRP plan? And does it include unlimited: text, data, mobile to mobile? How many minutes does it include?

Re: Evo on free and clear! Finally :)

So based on the last post being almost a month ago, nothing ever came of this?

It would be cool, but I bet it is only 3rd party as well.

Re: Evo on free and clear! Finally :)

So I bought my EVO and have been on the phone ALL day long trying to activate it. The # I have been using is 888 876 8381 but I have also been xferred over to god knows how many different places. I keep telling them to activate it under "indirect employee demo plan w" or ANYTHING that ends in a W and like 10 people who have SEEMED to take the time to look for it all tell me there is nothing like that. Is anyone else having this problem? I'm wondering if they removed that demo plan or something. Any advice?
