Re: Evo on free and clear! Finally :)
I submitted the form, and the person responded back that they need approval from my IAE/ISSR and my social security number... IAE said no...I also tried calling every number I found in this forum, and all of the reps that I talked to said they can not alter a 3rd party employee plan. I emailed executive.offices@sprint.com, hopefully they can do something. This blows!

Re: Evo on free and clear! Finally :)
Wow, so you're still working as a 3rd party employee and they're basically saying you can't have 4g! Either I'm mistaken that the period for us to activate has ended or the issue is with the 4g component and not the phone itself.

Re: Evo on free and clear! Finally :)
Stopped in a store to get my hero swapped out and found out employees are still locked out of getting the evo. looks like resellers are the only ones who can activate.

Re: Evo on free and clear! Finally :)
ink718, if you're an employee of radio shack then you don't have to go through any hoops like we do. We're all on legacy plans that have expired. Just find out who your Sprint account rep is, they should be visiting your store regularly, and find out how to set up a 3rd party employee account.

Re: Evo on free and clear! Finally :)
All of this Free & Clear discussion appears to be about employee based accounts. Can anyone offer any insight on EVO on a regular Free & Clear account? I am on an incredible plan for two phones and am ready to upgrade, but cs has been telling me about the dreaded "plan change" to get an EVO. Has anyone seen anything anywhere that says F & C (non employee) can work with EVO ???? Come on, help a brother out!

Re: Evo on free and clear! Finally :)
ink718, you'll need to get someone you know at radio shack or best buy to follow the instructions I just gave you. I can guarantee you that's the only way as Sprint will never change a referral plan to an 3rd party employee plan. Even then, the whole purpose of this thread is to discuss the issues of those of us who do have an employee plan not being able to get the EVO. You'd just be joining another group of people on a great value plan who are still waiting on a solution for adding a 4G phone to their account. For those who've had success, it's only been going from one type of 3rd party plan to another, never from a consumer to a 3rd party...
Sprint did announce recently that they would not restrict smartphones from the SERO plans anymore. You can read about it here: http://www.sprintusers.com/forum/sho...206795&page=16 on post 240 forward. Supposedly, this doesn't go into effect until October but it'll just cost you an extra 10 bucks for a smart phone and another 10 on top of that for 4G. Sunshine, F&C plans are not compatible with the EVO, no way around it. The only plan that is cheap and works with the EVO is the reseller employee discount lines. On a funny aside to all of this crap, my Hero has been flipping out lately. Ever since upgrading to 2.1, it reboots any time I access the GPS from any program. I went into an authorized repair center that wasn't a Sprint owned location. Every rep in that place was carrying an EVO! I've confirmed that actual Sprint employees are still unable to add EVOs to their accounts. |
