Re: Sprint has let me down - probably..

When is your wife's elgibility if it isn't moved up? Sprint charges $10 a month for each month left on a contract to get out of the contract. What I had to do with mine being I was 7 months from the end of my contract and it was cheaper to pay $70 and get a new contract is I took an old Virgin Mobile phone I had and had them port my main number to it. It took about 15 hours to port over and then my sprint line was automatically cancelled. Then I had sprint port that number back over from Virgin Mobile and I now had a new line with a 2 year contract but also with full upgrade eligibility because I put my old phone on that line instead of getting a new phone when the line was activated. Took about 3 hours for the number to port back over to Sprint. Was a little bit of work to do but $270 ($199 for EVO and $70 for cancellation of my old contract) is better than $599 that Best Buy wanted for a non-contract EVO.

Re: Sprint has let me down - probably..

Wow. GREAT responses. Thanks everyone.

I thought I would have a few side on sprints side. I do feel pretty cheated.
The more I thought about it this evening the more I agree that the "3-day" thing is just a ploy to get me to miss the survey. I will be negatively filling it out.

Feels good to have support. I will keep trying. Sorry for posting in wrong thread. It was about my Evo, but it turned into a carrier thing.

Thanks again

Would this work for anyone?

My contract ends in December 2010/January 2011 (can't remember which)

Thought the Cancellation of contract with sprint was $150 no matter what?

If so I will definitely be going this route!
