It took about 15 hours to port over and then my sprint line was automatically cancelled. Then I had sprint port that number back over from Virgin Mobile and I now had a new line with a 2 year contract but also with full upgrade eligibility because I put my old phone on that line instead of getting a new phone when the line was activated. Took about 3 hours for the number to port back over to Sprint. Was a little bit of work to do but $270 ($199 for EVO and $70 for cancellation of my old contract) is better than $599 that Best Buy wanted for a non-contract EVO.
Would this work for anyone?

My contract ends in December 2010/January 2011 (can't remember which)

Thought the Cancellation of contract with sprint was $150 no matter what?

If so I will definitely be going this route!
