PROOF.

I'm going off of this, which is not something I submitted to Phone Arena, or paid someone to write. I fail to see how I'm coming up with this off the top of my head. Please enlighten me...

At least you admit HSPA+ is not 4G.

And I thought AT&T already had 3G. They advertise it all the time, as being the fastest 3G network.

Actually even wimax is not true 4g...it does not comply as it stands to true 4g specifications but eventually it will...that said HSPA+ is not faster then wimax..wimax by standard give out at least 70mbps but it depends on how many users are on the network and HSPA+ is 21mbps...

of course you won't get 70mbps on sprint as is but it averages around the same as the HSPA+ network of t-mobile at the moment.

That said wimax still has way better latency then HSPA+ which makes it ideal for cable, mmo playing or a replacement to wire

also funny story but AT&T actually has a few wimax towers but they don't use them for cellphone ofcourse

I'm not talking about the max outputs because actually wimax does over 100mbps, but on sprints own website they say current max is 10mbps with an average of 3-6, tmobile hspa+ network averages over 6mbps, as you see people are surfing at 9-10mbps everyday.

Excuse me? T-mo does not currently have HSPA+. It's still on testing stage. What T-mo have is HSDPA which is 7.2 theoretical and lower than that on actual. about 3.6 - 5+. It just rolled out last january.

Here is the chart. As you can see. There is no actual speed for HSPA+

Well wimax can do 1gbps with new specs but the towers sprint put in place are 70mbps...the reason why you might see less with sprint is sprint is purposely capping the speeds. They are trying to deploy more locations and have it stable. Once that is done they will improve on the speed for the individual user

but as I said before 3-6mbps average with lower latency is better then 6mbps at higher latency...wimax already has quite a few users with data cards and overdrives as t-mobile does not, once the HSPA+ network gets crowded speeds will drop.

WRONG, hspa+ is here in 7 markets and will be ALL OVER THEIR 3G MARKET END OF 2010.

http://ow.ly/1q0K3

"T-Mobile successfully launched its HSPA+ network service in Philadelphia last fall providing customers access to one of the fastest and most modern wireless networks in the U.S. T-Mobile now has made HSPA+ commercially available in new markets including major areas of New York City, New Jersey, Long Island and suburban Washington, D.C., with deployment in Los Angeles coming very soon"

"T-Mobile’s HSPA+ network is outperforming competing 3G wireless networks with speeds up to three times faster. Blazing fast actual peak download speeds3 were demonstrated today in Las Vegas using both new and current mobile broadband devices, including the T-Mobile webConnect Rocket™ USB Laptop Stick, the first HSPA+ capable device from a national U.S .wireless carrier; the Dell Inspiron Mini 10; the HTC HD2; the Motorola CLIQ XT™ and the T-Mobile myTouch® 3G"
