The speeds people are reporting are faster the wimax, and hspa+ will be enabled across tmobile entire 3g network by the end of 2010. here is the proof below. hspa+ is faster then wimax and will cover more people by the end of 2010. I just hate when people hate on tmobile without knowing the truth, its happens so often when in actuality their 3g is faster then evdo and hspa+ is faster then wimax. Also ATT WILL HAVE NO 3G THIS YEAR and i highly even doubt next year. They are going LTE and are behind Verizon. Verizon LTE will drop this year and a test market is already up and running.

PROOF.

Actually even wimax is not true 4g...it does not comply as it stands to true 4g specifications but eventually it will...that said HSPA+ is not faster then wimax..wimax by standard give out at least 70mbps but it depends on how many users are on the network and HSPA+ is 21mbps...

of course you won't get 70mbps on sprint as is but it averages around the same as the HSPA+ network of t-mobile at the moment.

That said wimax still has way better latency then HSPA+ which makes it ideal for cable, mmo playing or a replacement to wire

also funny story but AT&T actually has a few wimax towers but they don't use them for cellphone ofcourse
