I'm sure some manufactures will offer some models with imbeded wireless data. The only issue I have with it, and the reason I've opted to always use external cards, is as the technology changes it's not possible to update the internal hardware. I could always just go out and but the newest device available if I choose to.

yes they are working on 4g internal cards, intel has a wireless N + WiMax
http://www.intel.com/network/connect...6250/index.htm yes it would be extremely convenient but like sanmanc says, it could be harder to upgrade them to new technology depending on where the particular manufacturer puts it on the inside of the device

Yeah, the Dells we have at work have easy access to the card slots under the keyboard.
I don't like the usb ones since usb can break, and become awkward. The mifi is great, but it needs it's own external power source for long time use. I wonder if that Intel one will work with Sprint, but if it doesn't have 3, you'd need to do ESN swaps a lot. |
