Thumbs down Assurion + Alltel = Pissed Off

Assurion Insurance can kiss my (very) white ass.

$600 phone dies. Dead. Only replacement? A Motorola Q, according to the tech support in Costa Rica.

Un-Freaking-Acceptable. Lots of yelling.

Finally got transfered to a "supervisor". Hmm, no accent, finally someone in America! He repeated the Q crap. I told him I didn't pay insurance on a $600 phone to get it replaced by something worth maybe half of that. Put on hold, again.

Came back with an offer for a Touch Diamond. Closer, but still a downgrade to the tune of about $200. No, won't take it.

Things would have been much easier if Verizon would finish the damn transition. Then I would have had a choice of thier phones. Like a Touch Pro2, HTC Imagio, Droid Eris, ect. But nooooooo, even though Alltel is OWNED by Verizon, I can't have any of their phones.

I'm steaming. Sooooo pissed.

I know it would be a downgrade for me, but there was no way I was going Motorola again. The quality just sucks. So I asked if any Blackberrys were available. Finally gave in and told him to just send me a Curve.

And once this transition is done, I get the feeling there's going to be another insurance claim...
