I'm thoroughly convinced that the guy who made the Twitter quote was a time traveler, who came back to try & discourage the world from indulging in one more form of douchebaggery.
That said, I have a Twitter :/

Re: Whats the big deal with 4G?
hey, I didnt read the thread, but one of the benefits to 4g is that you can be on the phone talking and on the internet at the same time.

Re: Whats the big deal with 4G?
Also guys don't forget with Verizon/ATT/and T-Mobile (I believe) all on the LTE 4G bandwagon expect 4G coverage to be impeccable. Sprint on the other hand is doing WiMax which I honestly don't know if it's proved itself but I guess we will see.

Re: Whats the big deal with 4G?
Wimax is worldwide, just not worldwide on the cell market. Japan is almost 100% covered in Wimax, but its for mobile internet. Almost all of Europe has a pretty strong coverage, except for England. What sprint is doing is moving their service more towards a VOIP based system. This is brilliant if you ask me, as it opens up the technology to be 100% IP based systems.
LTE was developed specifically for the cellular telephone market, where WiMax was designed to be mobile internet and is being adapted to be a telephone. With the way I see businesses going to VOIP for their office lines, etc every day in my job, I love the idea of WiMax 4G coming. |
