Maybe the new BB 10 OS device will offer better software and less problems. But again, the 10 OS is new, so there may be some bugs..

I suggest you,that you must have to purchase the black Barry cell phone especially for him ,because i have been use the Black berry cell phone last year.Black Berry cell phone has very compact able as compare to an other company cell phone.
