As far as porting it over to froyo ... there were a couple of guides on google that I found, but I didn't have time to look things over Dang these finals...

My favorite one is Thumb Keyboard: https://market.android.com/details?i...t.keyboardplus

Costs $1.89 but it's well worth it. I use it on my Viewsonic G Tablet as well. The layout is "natural" for your thumb, which we really only use when typing.
