Thanks for the help, much appreciated. Is there a way you won't need a phone every time to start up? |

Re: PSFreedom for Rhodium
Guess it didn't work for me then. Not sure where I went wrong. I did the su > cd sdcard > insmod psfreedom.ko. Also have xdandroid 2.2 Rhodium installed on this phone.

Did it go to the next line # without giving you an error? If so, then it is running(you could also run a second time to get error already exists). At this point the phone is ready. The rest is done on the PS3. |

At this point the phone is ready. Now the rest is all timing. Make sure PS3 is off from back switch(or unplug), then plug in usb, then turn ps3 back on(from back or plug). The next step is the critical one and I've gotten pretty good at the timing. You must hit eject immediately after hitting the power button(front). If you get a message "unknown usb device" after booting then you were too slow. Good luck and keep trying, you'll get it! Last edited by jpriset; 10-01-2010 at 07:52 PM. |

Re: PSFreedom for Rhodium
can someone compile this for 3.01 and 3.15 ps3 firmwares. they updated it so i guess we need to incorporate the newer psfreedom n backup manager

Re: PSFreedom for Rhodium
As I stated earlier, I'd be willing to give compiling this a shot, but it's not as easy as just cloning the repo and building. You have to disable certain USB drivers and then there are changes based on the model. I searched for a couple of days trying to find the information I needed without any luck. You'll have to beg someone who has compiled it before since they will know what needs to be changed for the Raphael (which is the config we use).

Re: PSFreedom for Rhodium
Thanks natemcnutty. If you do get a chance to compile it either for 3.01 or 3.15 i'd definitely test it out for u. I'd prefer 3.01 since i'm already on that firmware.
