Sync SMS between WM and Android?

Until sound is working and I do not have to switch back and forth between WM and Android, does anyone know if it is possible to have the SMS/MMS messages you send in Android show up in WM and vice versa?

Re: Sync SMS between WM and Android?

i asked this awhile back and i think the answer is no..

MS exchange doesnt seem to transfer text messages... when you first setup exchange theres an option for text messages, but it never shows again, and i dont think it works..

you can dual sync your contacts to both Android and winMO but not text messages

edit: heres my link from when i asked, nothing better as far as answers though http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=121728

I use Efficasoft to export my txts to a text file.
then user a script I wrote in perl to make them xml and use sms backup & restore to put them on my android build.

text file = .txt VS .xml ...arent they the same, cant you take a .txt file and just rename the the ext to .xml??? no need for the script and extra program, right?? just like taking a .txt and renaming it .mscr - now its a script??

i am asking, not telling here lol

so could we potentially:
  1. script Efficasoft to run as part of the Android boot process?
  2. scrip sms backup & restore to run after booting to Android?

I haven't found anyway to transfer back and forth. This will work one way though:

Re: Sync SMS between WM and Android?

Efficasoft is on a PC.
.txt is in a mbox format (sort of) from Efficasoft.
SMS Backup & restore makes .xml files that are tag delimited files like html

@dinkey: I have 21K txts. some times if I get to around 1K, the tp2 droid slows way down... othertimes I can insert 10K before it slows down. I haven't found the reason yet.

another question similar to the topic, but i'm currently on Android 2.1 with Sense. If i switch to Froyo is there a way to backup and restore texts? or is it the same as transfering texts between WinMo?

I text a lot but i hate when i swtich from WinMo to Android i lose texts or cant see the whole threaded convo /:
