Search Market for "sms backup". There's plenty of options. I use a program I think is called, creatively enough, "SMS Backup & Restore". It backs up to your SD card. Very nice little program.

SMS Backup & restore makes .xml files that are tag delimited files like html

@dinkey: I have 21K txts. some times if I get to around 1K, the tp2 droid slows way down... othertimes I can insert 10K before it slows down. I haven't found the reason yet.
The best way I suggest is then to backup everything in WinMo use sms exporter. When you get the .xml file in winmo, transfer that to your computer, open it up in excel, and then break it into 21 parts, each part 1000 txt msgs long. Its gonnna be a pain. I had 6000 and it took me a while. Just use the numbers next to each txt msg as a reference. Save each part as .xml in excel. And then use the Android utility to upload each file individually. Make sure you put all the files back in the sd card folder of sms backup and restore. I hope this makes sense if not, let me know and when I get time i'll write a more detailed breakdown.

Re: Sync SMS between WM and Android?

couldn't you just use a exchange 2010 client / server to sync the SMS like with microsoft myphone and then sync again in android

Re: Sync SMS between WM and Android?

exchange has never synced txts like someone said here, you get the options, but it never does anything.
sms exporter has never run on my phone (throws an error)
