Re: 2.2 froyo

I just didn't want to get flamed for handing out false information being a noob on the site and all. Trying to be as professional about the topic as possible. But if 2.2 IS on the horizon, bring it on!!! I'm more than willing to be a lab rat!

Do you guys get the same virus message when you open the thread "I just loaded android"?

We should have a mod look at it.

Re: 2.2 froyo

I'ts almost here. My good friend Klinux just reported the froyo diamond port works on the blackstone. I'll try it on the Rhod tonight and if it fires up, expect it to be released soon.

How does one get started being a dev. What documentation is there to read and who do you talk to. I've complete a embedded systems course a few semesters ago in college

Re: 2.2 froyo

Yeah I tried giving it a go using the Froyo image from xda Diamond forums, but no luck I used an .ext2 and tried booting of that, it looked like it had some problems loading the modules and then did the screen cal, then just hung, thats as far as I got

I wonder if its a cdma/gsm issue. I'm on cdma and i had no luck with the image as well. Klinux has a system.sqsh that is a direct drop in to the current build but it still didnt fire up.

Its not worth it anyways since nothing works.

It can't be a cdma/gsm issue as I have a gsm phone and same issue as you with the cdma, it would be nice to get it to work, but its not worth the hassle until we have 2.1 fully working
